Mousehall Oast is the perfect escape for those looking to relax and recharge in the beauty of the Sussex countryside! Situated only an hour by train ride from London, Mousehall Oast is surrounded by ancient woodlands, hedgerows and Mousehall vineyards, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

Mousehall Oast, a recently renovated 18th Century traditional oast house, consists of three South-facing, en-suite bedrooms, an open-plan dining area & sitting room with a wood-burning stove, fully-equipped kitchen, with bar counter, laundry/boot room and ground floor cloakroom. A large outdoor south-facing terrace with BBQ facilities - the perfect place for alfresco dining. A wood-fired hot tub to use at your leisure.

The Kiln bedroom is situated on the ground floor in the roundel, with two twin beds pushed together to make a Super King bed (separate mattresses and linen). It has an ensuite shower room, with basin and toilet. The Kiln bedroom has a garden view.

The Roundel bedroom, situated on the first floor at the top of the stairs, has both south- and north-facing windows, overlooking the garden, ancient woodlands as well as Mousehall vineyards. This bedroom has a king-sized bed and en-suite shower room, with basin & toilet.

The Hop Press is the largest bedroom, with a Super King-sized bed, walk-in shower, beautifully appointed copper bath, large vanity unit, separate toilet and plenty of cupboard space. The original beams, revealed during renovation gives additional height to the room. The unique windows & skylights in this bedroom allow views of the surrounding gardens, ancient woodlands & vineyards.

Each of the bedrooms has been individually & uniquely decorated in keeping with the beauty of the Sussex countryside. All linen is 400TC white Egyptian cotton.

No Pets allowed | Children 12yrs & older (not suitable for young children)

Depending on season and length of stay, discounts may apply for stays of 3+ nights. We have a minimum of 3 night stay.

"This cottage is simply divine. Every aspect of the design is well thought out so it feels a home from home. There is beautiful plate ware and glasware in the kitchen (not IKEA), extra towels and plastic glases for the wood fired hot tub (a MUST try), and a fridge stacked with their own wine and spirits so there is no risk of running dry (masive bonus when you're in a remote place). The hosts could not have done more to make sure we had everything we need - very communicative both pre and during stay. We also managed to have a private tour of the vineyard (more like mini farm) and tasting on our final day. It was amazing to be shown round by one of the owners (Nick) whose pasion for what Mousehall are doing and producing was infectious. All in all, an incredible stay. We're already planning our next visit and looking forward to it."

"Our stay at Mousehall Oast was fantastic. The cottage stay was a perfect weekend away, and incredibly easy to get to from London at a c.1.5 hour drive. The gin tasting experience was 100 feet from the cottage and easy to acces, and we had a great time hearing about the wine, gin and vodka made on site. The cottage was exceptionally well furnished and was the perfect set up for a weekend, with great ammenities such as a wood stove, braai, and wood-fired hot tub. We would definitely recommend a stay here."
